By registering for or attending a King of Subs event, you agree to these Terms.

1. Assumption of Risk

BY PARTICIPATING IN ANY KING OF SUBS EVENT, YOU VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISKS INCLUDING INJURY, SERIOUS BODILY HARM, AND DEATH. Jiu jitsu is a full-contact combat sport. You represent that you are physically fit to compete.

2. Waiver of Liability

You release King of Subs Jiu Jitsu, its organizers, staff, volunteers, and venue owners from all liability for injuries or losses arising from participation. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless King of Subs from any related claim.

3. Registration & Payment

  • Registration is complete only upon receipt of full payment.
  • Ensure accuracy of division, weight class, and age bracket at sign-up.
  • Confirmation sent to the email provided.

4. Refund & Cancellation Policy

  • Event cancelled by KOS: Full refund or credit toward a future event.
  • Competitor withdrawal: Refund requests must be submitted 7+ days before the event. No refunds after that date.
  • No-shows forfeit their registration fee.

5. Rules & Conduct

  • All competitors must follow the official King of Subs ruleset published prior to each event.
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification without refund.
  • Misrepresentation of skill level, age, or weight is grounds for immediate disqualification.
  • All official decisions are final.

6. Weigh-Ins

Competitors who do not make weight may be disqualified or moved to an appropriate division. Failure to make weight does not entitle the competitor to a refund.

7. Photo & Video Release

By attending a King of Subs event, you grant KOS an irrevocable, royalty-free license to use photos and video for marketing and promotional purposes without compensation.

8. Minors

A parent or guardian must register on behalf of competitors under 18 and assumes all risks on their behalf. A signed parental consent form may be required at check-in.

9. Modifications

King of Subs reserves the right to modify event schedules, rules, venues, and formats. Material changes will be communicated to registered competitors.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of California. Disputes resolved in the courts of Riverside County, California.
